The property is right on the beach in a lively part of town. I recommend booking a room on the ocean side of the street, with views.
I had originally booked a budget room and would not recommend going budget in this accommodation. We ended up spending an additional €114 for our second night there and moved to a larger, really charming space with a balcony and fantastic views. That room had design details worth the extra cost. We stayed in room 26.
The breakfast is an additional fee but so worth it! The hotel was full and very lively as we had come during a holiday that celebrated the Magdalenes daughter Sara, the Egyptian. The town was bustling and a large Gypsy encampment set up just down the street in a parking lot. It was fun to see all the pretty wagons! Dont miss the open-air weekend swap meet that sets up in the neighboring alleys of the village.

A lot of souvenir shops and restaurants for every taste, much fish options. Nice beach but I had bad weather. Horse riding places not far. A lot of other activities too.
Unfortunately many streets are blocked and you cannot enter, not good for those who don't know the place.
Parking situation is a catastrophe, even in low season, even the hotel only had 3 garages (pay) and little parking outside. Nobody wants to carry luggage 4 blocks.

The reason for our visit was to visit the ornithological park just to the north of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer which took about half a day. We weren't particularly attracted to what is, admittedly, a lovely beach or the souvenir shops but there were lots of people having a great time. If you're into beach holidays, I doubt you'll find better. There are many decent restaurants, bars and cafes and the ones we visited were hosted by friendly, happy staff. As a kid, I'd have loved being taken there!

Pleasant to move around .
Pleasant to move around . Friendly shops an restaurants although most of the menus were similar, yet good, and fresh, fish and seafood. The church is a medieval marvel. Climb to the roof for impressive views and take time to see the birds in lagoons. Not impressed by the bulls that look like the caricature of their Spanish cousins. The horses are unique. Most of the tourist are nationals, (i.e tour buses or cruises spillover) which gives it a more peaceful allure than most other places in Provence.
Worth a couple of days stopover.

It was a lovely place and a warm welcome from the owner.
It was a lovely place and a warm welcome from the owner. A superb base to see the pleasures of the Camargue. No restaurant for dinner in hotel and we didn’t fall in love with the local town. Made a bad choice of restaurant I think. Make sure to get recommendation from hotel.

We went for the celebration of Saint Sara.
We went for the celebration of Saint Sara. The atmosphere was alive and felt family orientated. The streets and restaurants buzzing. Families brought guitars and fiddles and burst into music and song randomly. There was a huge selection of restaurants to choose from and the food was delicious.

My wife and I enjoyed being immersed in nature and at the same time having a relaxing dip in the swimming pool late in the afternoon. Walking among reeds to go to the room instead of the usual long hotel corridors was a refreshing change. My wife really enjoyed the dinner because it was experimental and the staff was very attentive to her allergies. The wines were particularly good. The staff was always friendly and willing to help. This was a different travel experience to the usual hotel stay.
Really pretty and quiet hotel with spacious rooms with terraces and spacious, modern bathrooms. The owners were incredibly welcoming and friendly and we spent a gorgeous afternoon relaxing at the pool.
The hotel is in the middle of nowhere so a car is needed to get around. For dinner, we walked to the only nearby restaurant (15 mins walk) which was lovely. By car, Les Saintes Maries de la Mer is only a 10 minute drive away and there are lots of restaurants and bars on the seafront.
Hotel Casa Marina is beautifully situated on the Mediterranean coast. You have walking access to beautiful beaches, the historic town and Church, and lots and lots of dining options. We went in June so this place definitely has the “beach vibe” and lots of activities available. Horseback riding and bird watching are nearby and you can rent bicycles or electric bikes if you want to see more without driving. We happen to be there while a free concert was going on. Music was great.
Beautiful hotel calmly located at the beginning of town in Saintes Maries de la Mer. Very nice and spacious rooms with a little terrace in front of each. Great pool area and very friendly staff. The city center of Saintes Maries is a short footwalk (7-10min) away, all beaches are easily reachable by foot and the ornithological park camargue can be reached in a 3min car drive from the hotel.
DON’T.. At arrival - no person in reception and we had to wait. After 1 hour revisit and still no staff.
From reception - we could see it looks were lousy and it smelled musty.
We ended up leaving after long waiting time and to ensure that we got a hotel for the night. Wonder how this place have ended up at booking.com.
Now they demand payment and we have had to refuse payment via bank.
Stunning scenery, stunning wildlife, lovely modern rustic architecture, close proximity to the sea and saintes maries de la mer! Strangely the hotel restaurant was closed monday and tuesday during peak season but once opened, excellent! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return
Jewel of a boutique hotel; smart, lovely decoration with driftwood gives relaxed beach house feeling; pleasant, sympathetic host and personnel; great location; our whole experience has a je ne sais quoi which makes it hard to put into words but it was gen
The hotel was right on the Mediterranean. I had an upper floor with balcony to view the sea. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is located just a short walk to the town square full of shops and restaurants.
best hotel we ever used
quiet, great location, beautiful garden,
breakfast was excellent, great coffee (real expresso)
setting outside to enjoy the weather and the beauty of the area was very pleasant
Grea quite hotel away from noisy city center but close enough to walk there for dinner or shoping. To reach the beaches use the car is necessary, but then you cen go to different beaches every day.
The owner of the hotel, Melody, is a great hostess. Always so helpful and full of positive energy. She also helps us with reservations for nearby excursions. We highly recommend the place
